Community Services Unit
The Community Services Unit is responsible for providing quality programs and services to the citizens of Cornelius. The Community Services Unit operates under the basic principles of Community and Problem-Oriented Policing to reduce crime through educational programs and to form partnerships within communities to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Cornelius. The Community Services Unit is a flexible team that focuses on resolving community issues in innovative ways. In addition to performing traditional police functions as needed, this unit works to resolve problems by their roots through innovative intervention strategies such as environmental design, target hardening, and education.
