On January 27, 2010, 6th grade students from Woodlawn School in Mooresville visited the Cornelius Animal Shelter for a tour of the new facility. The class came bearing supplies and cash donations for the animals’ wellness program.

 
Cornelius Animal Shelter Alliance (CASA) volunteers led an educational tour of the shelter, explaining the operations and needs of the shelter. The students plan to further their support of the Cornelius Animal Shelter, and to educate others about what they’ve learned.

The class also bought a brick to support the construction of the animal shelter.
